As longtime locals, we understand the importance of the county treasurer position. Tim is one of the hardest-working people we know. He is honest, ethical and has integrity. He has our trust.
Tim also has strong management and leadership skills. This is proved by his 10 years of successful management at our local United Way, and by his work for the past five years at Durango Business Improvement District.
We recently learned that the current treasurer has made mistakes, and those mistakes have created $48,000 in additional audit costs for the county. That’s $48,000 to us, the taxpayers, due to errors!
In these tight financial times for the county, we cannot afford these unnecessary costs. Vote Tim Walsworth for county treasurer. You should have already received your ballots in the mail. Fill them out and return them today. This is too important of an election not to exercise your right to vote.
