Vote for Unger to kill the Kill Committee

Don Coram likes to portray himself as a moderate – a nice guy working for the good of Coloradans. It’s true that he has sponsored some good legislation, such as expanding broadband for rural areas. But his positions are actually very extreme and will adversely affect residents of the Colorado 6th Senate District.

He voted to take healthcare away from 500,000 Coloradans by repealing the ACA. He voted against civil unions, against banning bump stocks, and even against rain barrels!

But the real problem is that Republicans control the Colorado Senate and are able to kill many good bills passed by the Democratic House. In the past two sessions alone, the Republican “Kill Committee” has killed 154 bills, including bills that prohibit price gouging on prescription drugs, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, protecting water quality from adverse mining impacts, protecting the open internet and providing funding for full-day kindergarten.

I could go on and on. Republicans control the Colorado Senate by a single seat. A vote for Guinn Unger is a vote to change that balance and stop Republicans from killing bills that will help the people of Colorado.

Vote for Guinn Unger, Democrat for Colorado State Senate.
