Hillyer
Bayfield School Board, incumbent Daniele Hillyer retained her seat in Tuesday’s election and Peggy Whiteman captured the second seat.
Hillyer received 839 votes, or 40 percent of votes cast, according to unofficial results from the La Plata County Clerk and Recorder. Election results become official after county canvass boards meet.
Hillyer has been on the school board for the past four years. Whiteman received 674 votes, and Mark Haeussler received 588 votes.
