The city of Durango will host a Safe Routes to School Walk ’n’ Roll-a-Thon event, in conjunction with National Bike to School Day, to encourage elementary-aged students to walk, scoot, skate, bike, bus or carpool Monday through Friday from home to school.
National Bike to School Day will be held Wednesday. An event will feature a bicycle rodeo, parade and raffle from 1:15 to 2 p.m. Friday at Needham Elementary School, 2425 West Third Ave.
