Crews working on sidewalks discuss the breakage of a water line in the 1200 block of Main Avenue. Crews will replace a water main valve Wednesday near Kearney Street and Eastlawn Avenue.
The city of Durango utilities department is going to replace a water main valve at the corner of Kearney Street and Eastlawn Avenue on Wednesday, which will necessitate shutting off water to residents of Eastlawn from El Paso Street to Montview Parkway.
Work is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. and be completed by 4 p.m. In some cases, properties located on a corner lot of the affected area also could be without water.
Residents of the affected area are advised to plan ahead for water for drinking, cooking and toilet flushing.
