A water main broke Thursday morning at Crestview Drive and Kearney Street, leaving area residents without water for about two hours, from noon to 2 p.m.
City crews shut off water to 11 homes along Crestview from Kearney Street to Leyden Street, said Utilities Director Steve Salka.
Crew members expected to have the hole filled and repaved by 4:30 p.m.
Warm weather likely caused the ground to shift and broke the pipe. Similar breaks have occurred several times this winter, he said.
“We’ve had so many water main breaks, our guys are getting pretty quick at this,” Salka said.
