With quickly growing populations, increased development and more frequent traffic and wildlife interactions, I give Colorado’s Gov. Jared Polis kudos for making wildlife corridors and habitat a priority with his recently signed executive order.
Protecting these corridors not only gives wildlife a chance to continue thriving in our state, it also ensures continued economic growth around our outdoor heritage and allows our outdoor way of life to grow responsibly.
This effort will explore what partnerships, historic information and scientific mapping can offer to best manage connectivity so crucial to big-game species as well as aquatic species and riparian areas.
As a lifelong sportsman, I couldn’t be more pleased to see this issue getting the attention it deserves.
