We are now officially a rogue state, like those countries we vilify. Are you proud?
Trump has autocratically directed the Defense Department to commit terrorist acts, destroying boats at sea without proof of wrongdoing and killing innocent sailors without accountability. He has withheld the passage of ships without proof of wrongdoing. He has directed the Department of Homeland Security to incarcerate innocent, official asylum-seekers who have gone through all legal processes. He is imprisoning naturalized and U.S. citizens. He has used our taxpayer dollars without congressional consent to attack a sovereign nation and remove a sitting head of state to occupy the country. That is war.
We declare North Korea and Russia are authoritarian terrorist states. We vilify China for human rights abuses and threats to Taiwan. We declare Putin a criminal for invading Ukraine. We are exactly the same. If you’re not ashamed and horrified – outraged at Congress and the Supreme Court for allowing Trump to become a dictator of the United States of America – you are asleep!
