We are all the same – no exceptions.
Whether Democrat, Republican, Independent or someone who chooses not to vote. Brown, black, white or tan. Christian, Buddhist, Jewish, Muslim, atheist or Pagan. Optimist or pessimist, vegetarian or meat-eater. Southerner, westerner, city dweller or country person.
We all have a soul or spirit, a body, mind and hopes, dreams, visions.
Everyone.
In this time of great division across our globe, I beg of you to seek out the similarities with our fellows. For if we harbor ill will against anyone, this comes back to us. To heal the world, we must identify and root out our own prejudices. Unkindness makes us all sick. Let us find one small similarity with an unfamiliar neighbor today.
We are the same as all of our plant and animal relatives. Each of us living beings has a purpose and a place here. How we treat any of creation speaks of our own internal landscape. Maybe there is a new creature that we can learn an interesting fact about today. We are all connected and the same.
Every being.
The ripples of our thoughts and actions move far and create strong, lasting impacts. We must consider what kind of legacy we wish to leave on this planet during our time on this life journey. Everything we do matters. Right now, I am sending you love, peace, comfort and joy. Because you are important, beautiful and essential.
