In response to Sherry Wilmoth (Herald, Jan. 1), I feel so sad for her and the hate she carries in her heart.
I am 96 years young. I voted for George W. Bush and he started a war on weapons of mass destruction, and it is still going on. Plus, there was a huge debt when he left office.
I started asking myself, why do we always have to be in a war?
Big money is why. What do we the people gain from that? We sacrificed our young people, we are broke and we the people are still paying for weapons. More and more money is being used to keep it going.
I listened to our politicians. They built Obama up as such a great guy and now we find he has put us trillions of dollars in debt.
I can remember when our presidents were greatly respected. Now what has happened? The world hates the U.S.A., and we are so in debt that a part of our nation is on food stamps.
Politicians on both sides have, with their tricks and lies, hoodwinked us into believing they are doing a great service. They very cleverly use their promises and lies to get us to vote for them. This has been going on for years. Why aren’t we any better off?
I started digging for answers. You can find them if you really look. You may be shocked with what you find.
We now have a man who is not a politician. He does not drink or smoke. He has a very respectable family. He has been telling us what we are up against. Both parties hate him so they are all out to destroy him, because he has told us things our government doesn’t want us to know. They just can’t have this!
Our big problems have been in the White House and more answers will be coming out. Both parties are spewing out hate to try to hurt him. My grandmother always said, “We get too soon old, and too late smart.”
