Although I live in the county, I drive Durango roads every day and they are in need of long overdue maintenance.
Durango residents have made it clear they don’t want a tax increase, but has anyone floated the idea of a compromise? Raise the sales tax only from Memorial Day to Labor Day, so our out-of-town guests can help pay for the roads.
The revenue should come in the form of a sales tax so we can all help Durango pay for the roads we use.
