During a lunch conversation with a friend, they pointed out that Israel has universal health care, funded by their government. That means no cost or low cost health care for all their citizens. That was great to hear, progressive stuff.
I know the United States has sent billions of aid dollars to help Israel, a very modern and technically advanced country over the years. I’m in favor of Israel’s survival, but now for the USA to join in another endless war? Nope.
Let’s use those resources to bring the same level of health care Israel enjoys to the good old USA. Remember “weapons of mass destruction” in Iraq?
I hope our country has learned that lesson.
It’s Israel’s war.
