Most Coloradans care deeply about our beautiful state, with its pristine open lands, productive farms and ranches, recreational opportunities and clean air and water (all of which sustain us and drive our economy).
However, the actions of the current administration in Washington are threatening these and many other values and rights that we hold dear.
The administration’s rolling back of regulations and standards designed to fight climate change and protect against environmental degradation, as well as actual and potential curbs on many rights (voting rights, health care rights, reproductive rights, etc.) will have dire consequences for our state, the nation and the world.
We can and must fight back, and here’s one way to do it.
Most people don’t give much thought to the state’s attorney general, but the office is an incredibly powerful and effective arm of state government.
The AG not only represents the state and state agencies before the courts. The AG is the “People’s Lawyer” who can represent the public’s interests by enforcing environmental laws, advocating for consumer protections and protecting our rights. (And, in association with other states’ attorneys general, the AG can have far reaching impacts.)
Phil Weiser shares the interests of Coloradans and has the experience and courage to fight for them.
