‘Wear the Love’ supports Durango Community Shelter, Southwest Safehouse

The third annual “Wear the Love” campaign will kick off from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 27 at the Durango Arts Center’s Barbara Conrad Gallery, 805 East Second Ave.

Wear the Love raises awareness for women and children served by the Volunteers of America Durango Community Shelter and Southwest Safehouse. Local artist Sally Short designed this year’s signature Wear the Love pendant, which is released as a limited-edition gift. For a donation of $60, community members can “wear the love” and show support for local women and children fleeing domestic violence or struggling with homelessness.

The campaign will run from April 27 to May 14, and pendants will be available while supplies last.
