Fundraiser to help kids should bring in about $5,000

This year, the toy run benefited Volunteers of America, Project Merry Christmas and Mercy Health Foundation for Kids in Need.
Tuggy Dunton, secretary of the group, said the event raised about $5,000 last year, and is on track to do the same this year, not including the numerous donated toys.
