Weiser knows Colorado; Bennet belongs in Senate

Comparing Phil Weiser’s and Sen. Michael Bennet’s work on Colorado’s behalf, there is no doubt that Weiser has done far more for Colorado and knows it far better.

Weiser has been working for Colorado for almost 30 years – starting as a law professor specializing in telecommunications, followed by serving as the highly respected dean of the CU law school and for the past eight years as our attorney general. During those eight years, he successfully led legal actions on opioid addiction against the Sackler family, tenant protection, PFAS “forever” chemicals, abuse at religious institutions, prevention of the Kroger-Albertsons merger, and has filed more than 60 lawsuits against the Trump administration. All told, his legal efforts have brought over $900 million in fines and payments to our state.

In contrast, prior to his appointment as Colorado’s senator, Bennet worked six years managing investments for the Anschutz Investment Co., two years for Denver Mayor Hickenlooper and less than four years as superintendent of Denver Public Schools – totaling just six years in Colorado-based public service, nearly 20 years ago.

When comparing the two, Weiser knows Colorado and has worked hard for it throughout his career. Please vote for Phil Weiser as our next governor.
