The goalkeeper of the year came from CSU-Pueblo.
The coach of the year came from UC-Colorado Springs.
The well-balanced Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference regular season was well-represented in the All-RMAC postseason awards, announced Tuesday by conference coaches.
Martin Maybin, a senior forward from Belfast, Northern Ireland, was named the RMAC Player of the Year. He led the league in points with 35 on a league-high 15 goals, seven were game-winning goals, which tied fellow First Team All-RMAC player Roy Abergil of Colorado Mesa for the league lead. He averaged a league-best 2.19 points per game.
Blake Carlson, a junior from Beaverton, Oregon, was named the RMAC Defensive Player of the Year.
Nikolaus Grotz from Grafrath, Germany, was named the RMAC Freshman of the Year. The freshman midfielder finished seventh in the RMAC in points with 21 on seven goals and seven assists. He was a Second Team All-RMAC selection.
Nestor Escobar of Colorado Mesa, a Second Team All-RMAC selection, tied Grotz for the RMAC lead in assists.
Sam Haseltine, a junior from St. Louis, played a league-high 1,628 minutes, 20 seconds in goal, by far the most in the RMAC. He had a 1.60 goals against average and a .793 save percentage. He led the league with 111 saves, an average of 6.17 per game, both league highs. He also led the league with seven shutouts.
Johnnie Keen led UC-Colorado Springs to a 9-8-1 overall record and an 8-6 mark in the RMAC, good for the fifth seed in the RMAC Tournament. UCCS will play No. 4 Fort Lewis College (11-7, 9-5 RMAC) at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in an RMAC Tournament quarterfinal at Dirks Field in Durango.
FLC finished in a three-way tie for second place in the RMAC.
Yannis Becker and Maik Brandt, a senior defender from Stadthagen, Germany, of FLC both were named First Team All-RMAC selections.
Becker, a junior midfielder from Sittensen, Germany, led the RMAC with 79 shots and 4.39 shots per game. He finished with a team-high 25 points – third best in the league – on 10 goals and five assists.
Cesar Castillo, a senior midfielder from Gypsum, and Aaron Kloer, a senior defender from Albuquerque, both were named Second Team All-RMAC selections for the Skyhawks.
Castillo finished the regular season among the RMAC leaders with four assists, four goals and 12 points.
Luke Lawrence, a sophomore forward from Albuquerque, and Elliot Prost, a senior midfielder from Nevers, France, both were named All-RMAC honorable mentions for FLC. Lawrence was second on the team with seven goals and 17 points, while Prost had a goal and an assist for three points.
