Way to go, city of Durango. Closing a major recreation area entrance for weeks without any notice or updates. If others are like me, I rode my bike over to the Horse Gulch trail system only to be turned away by the construction guys.
I guess the entire entrance was closed to recreation access. This was supposed to only last a week but has gone on for weeks without notice in the paper or anywhere else I can find.
You would think that the city could make a fenced off trail around the construction along the cliff or by Sonic so users could still access the trails. But no notice or access from this point.
