Last weekend was a good one for Colorado’s Division I college football teams.

Colorado upset No. 22 Iowa State at home for its best victory of the year. Colorado State and Northern Colorado had their own upset wins and Air Force nearly joined the upset party.

While none of the Colorado schools will be making the College Football Playoff, all of these schools still have a chance, (some better than others) at making at bowl game. But the season is halfway over and opportunities to stack up enough wins are decreasing by the week.

The Buffaloes have a bye this week to reflect on their Iowa State and get healthy for the second half of the season. Colorado’s three other Division I teams are in action on Saturday.

Here’s a look at what matchups Colorado Division I college football teams have this week:

Wyoming Cowboys at Air Force Falcons on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. MST

Where: Falcon Stadium, USAF Academy

How to watch: CBSSN

Records: Wyoming is 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the Mountain West Conference after its 35-28 win over San Jose State last Saturday. Air Force is 1-5 overall and 0-4 in the Mountain West after its 51-48 loss at UNLV last Saturday.

Line: Air Force is between 3.5 and 4.5-point favorite depending on the sportsbook.

Notes: The Falcons are favored despite being on a five-game losing streak. However, Air Force has lost its last two games by three points and has averaged 39.5 points in those two games.

Air Force looked like it had a victory over undefeated UNLV. The Falcons were up 48-44 with a minute left, but UNLV scored a 19-yard rushing touchdown with 36 seconds left to take the lead.

The Falcons couldn’t be stopped on the ground, rushing for 428 yards and six touchdowns. Running back Owen Allen led Air Force with 192 rushing yards and two scores. UNLV had a balanced offense in the win, with 377 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, 220 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

Wyoming was down 28-14 after three quarters against San Jose State and scored 21 unanswered points in the fourth. Cowboys’ quarterback Kaden Anderson finished with 304 passing yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors at Colorado State Rams on Saturday at 5 p.m. MST

Where: Canvas Stadium, Fort Collins

How to watch: Mountain West App or Spectrum Sports Network

Records: Hawaii is 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the Mountain West after its 44-26 win against Utah State last Saturday. Colorado State is 2-4 overall and 1-1 in the Mountain West after its 49-21 win vs. Fresno State last Friday.

Line: Colorado State is a 2.5 or three-point favorite depending on the sportsbook.

Notes: Colorado State had quite the upset against Fresno State last week. The Rams were at least a six-point underdog depending on the sportsbook and won by 28, meaning the sportsbooks were off by at least 34 points on what they expected the final margin of victory to be.

The Rams led 35-14 at the half against Fresno State and added to that lead in the second half. Colorado State’s rushing attack led the way with 190 yards and three scores. Quarterback Jackson Brousseau was efficient, finishing 12/18 passing for 144 yards and three passing touchdown. Colorado State forced Fresno State quarterback E.J. Warner to throw three interceptions.

Hawaii was in a close contest with Utah State and led 24-20 at the half, before outscoring Utah State 20-6 to pull away. Rainbow Warriors quarterback Micah Alejado led the offense with 413 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, one rushing touchdown and an interception.

Northern Colorado Bears at Sacramento State Hornets on Saturday at 7 p.m. MST

Where: Hornet Stadium, Sacramento, California

How to watch: ESPN+

Records: Northern Colorado is 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the Big Sky Conference after its 49-33 win at Idaho last Saturday. Sacramento State is 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the Big Sky after its 55-27 win at Weber State last Saturday.

Line: No line

Notes: Northern Colorado got its biggest margin of victory of the season in its 49-33 win over Idaho State. The Bears’ win over Idaho State might’ve also been their most impressive of the season; Idaho State was ranked inside the top 15 in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).

The Bears led 35-17 at halftime. Northern Colorado quarterback Eric Gibson Jr. finished with 350 passing yards and two touchdowns. The Bears cruised to victory despite allowing Idaho State to finish with 440 yards of offense.
