A city contractor sprayed herbicide on the part of the Oxbow property that abuts Animas View Drive. That area is used by dog owners in the neighborhood. Among other things, the dogs nibble on certain of the plants growing there. No notice was given. The contractor had to ask a neighbor where the boundaries were. The only warning after spraying was a few red flags that look just like the other markers in Oxbow.
What was sprayed? I hope it wasn’t Roundup, which has been shown to be toxic to humans in recent research. Why was this necessary? I thought this was an environmentally sensitive city.
