When it rains, rafters rejoice

Rafters take advantage of higher water levels Tuesday on the Animas River, which was flowing at 727 cubic feet per second after the river hit 1,040 cfs Monday afternoon thanks to heavy monsoon rains in the mountains. A few days earlier, the river was down to 328 cfs. (Jerry McBride/Durango Herald)
