If you can accept a cascade of lies when the truth is self-evident; if you gravitate toward short-term economic gain by exploitation of fossil fuels, disregarding the long-term disaster of global warming; if you can ignore marital infidelity and licentious behavior on the part of your leader, while espousing personal Christian values; if you applaud the patriotism of a draft dodger who falsely claimed a disability exemption over that of Vietnam heroes John McCain and Robert Mueller III; if you prefer a titular leader of the free world who fosters relationships with villainous autocrats while denigrating our NATO allies; if you think that massive tax cuts for corporations and the very wealthy at the expense of others, exacerbating income inequality in America, is a good idea; if you are ignorant or unconcerned about crimes committed at the highest levels of the current administration; then I understand, my fellow American, why you remain a Donald J. Trump supporter.
