Our Rep. Jeff Hurd, and his staff are actively avoiding voters in this district. That is probably because he is voting to increase tax breaks for the wealthiest, disregarding traditional Republican fiscal conservatism by voting to increase our national debt by trillions, while ignoring the needs of his district.
Thirty percent of his constituents rely on Medicaid. Medicaid, a necessity for many, will be on the chopping block as budget negotiations continue.
Call him. Write him. Let him know that increasing unemployment in our district by supporting DOGE cuts to many federal jobs here, and at the same time being willing to support legislation that will reduce people’s access to health care, is cruel and despicable.
