The chance of snow forecast for Wednesday morning will be about 24 hours late.
A small system blowing from west to east through northern New Mexico won’t do anything for the Durango area, Joe Ramey, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Grand Junction, said.
But a colder front arriving from the north after midnight Wednesday could bring some snow.
“But it doesn’t look impressive,” Ramey said. “You might see some flakes or possibly a dusting, maybe a small accumulation.”
In keeping with tradition, it’s been a dry January, Ramey said. January and June are the state’s driest months, he said.
