White listens, thinks, acts for Durango

I strongly support Dick White’s re-election to City Council. My major reasons for wanting Dick re-elected are his study of the issues, his non-hurried listening to citizens’ concerns, his ability to think out a workable, balanced solution when possible and his strong dedication to the city of Durango’s healthy growth. His work style is collaborative, and he is respectful and open to the thinking of constituents who may oppose his opinion.

One of my friends claimed Dick did not always vote according to his previous campaign claims. Dick listens to all sides of the issues and studies the research in the area. Having new information pertaining to an issue, he votes responsibly for what he thinks best.

I want my City Council to be open and flexible. Dick learns by listening, asking questions and study. His votes reflect concern for both head- and heart-thinking. I respect Dick because he can learn new information and change his mind. Change is just part of life, and it is part of building and keeping healthy communities.

Dick is my neighbor, and I know he greatly values keeping our communities healthy, safe, and family-friendly. He is inclusive in his respect for neighborhood problems; he weighs issues according to what is best for families, single-parent families, wise eldering, the working class with three jobs and college students. On our blocks we appreciate and help each other.

Dick is very committed to what is fair and healthy for infrastructure and people in our community. I urge you to keep Dick on the City Council because it is best for our marvelous Durango.
