After caroling down Main Avenue, Mr. and Mrs. Santa Clause’s wagon comes to a stop at Buckley Park and greets Derrick Deluzio, 9, and other children before the lighting of the tree. This year’s tree lighting will take place Friday, Nov. 28.
’Tis the season for caroling with Santa.
The yearly holiday caroling procession will culminate with the lighting of the holiday tree at Buckley Park on Friday, Nov. 28, according to a Durango Business Improvement District news release.
Carolers will assemble at the First National Bank of Durango parking lot at 5:45 p.m. and proceed up Main Avenue around 6 p.m.
The procession on Main Avenue will not close the street. However, the event may cause traffic delays while it passes through.
