With all due respect sir, you should probably keep your truck and your money in Farmington (“When I saw the yellow envelope, I saw red,” Herald, Aug. 24).
I, too, drive a big truck. Ford Super Duty 350. Eight-foot bed. Tires 20s. I have and always will park my truck where it does not cause a problem for others.
A lot of people don’t like big trucks anyway, so why would you make them even madder by not following the laws regarding parking them?
It’s hard to find parking in Durango, and when you have a large vehicle, you may have to park out in the north 40 with me, but I’ll guarantee you, you’ll make a lot fewer enemies.
I now live in Phoenix. I’m still having to park my truck where it is not a problem for others. I love my big truck. I feel safer in my big truck, but I have to put up with the inconvenience of finding parking for it.
