The Bayfield band Wild Country had a brush with potential superstardom on Saturday.
The band backed Chevel Shepherd in her free thank you concert to the community at the Farmington Civic Center.
Shepherd was proclaimed champion of the TV performance competition "The Voice" in December. Band members are Ben Simpson, Ted Hockenbury, Shawn Hendricks, Tim Craig and Garrett Young. They were joined for this performance by Callie Young, Ryan McCurry and Alyssa Wolf. Free tickets for the show were distributed in a matter of minutes a few weeks before the performance.
