Events in celebration of Wild Plant Permaculture Day will be held Saturday, July 22, at Rocky Mountain Retreat, 848 East Third Ave.
Workshops, activities and talks will be hosted by Katrina Blair, founder of Turtle Lake Refuge and author of Local Wildlife – Turtle Lake Refuge’s Recipes for Living Deep and The Wild Wisdom of Weeds: 13 Essential Plants for Human Survival,” and Joel Glanzberg, practitioner of permaculture and co-founder of Regenesis Collaborative.
Blair will teach “Sprouting and Growing Microgreens” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is a suggested donation of $33. A light lunch will be provided.Glanzberg will teach “Permaculture Patterns” from 1 to 4 p.m. Cost is a suggested donation of $33.Blair will host a wild edible foods walk and recipe-making class from 4 to 7 p.m. Cost is a suggested donation of $33.
