Wilderness Life Support will hold two wilderness medicine training courses in Durango during the next two months for individuals who want to learn how to be safe recreating outdoors. The
Participants can gain certification in Wilderness First Aid (WFA) and have the opportunity to recertify Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certifications.
Classes will be held in a smaller capacity to accommodate COVID-19 public health protocols.
Instruction is a mix of classroom learning and hands-on training for backcountry trauma and medical emergencies.
The cost of the course is $200 for WFA certification and $300 for WFR recertification.
