Wolf Creek and Purgatory Resort have announced opening dates for the 2019/2020 season.
Wolf Creek opened the upper mountain Saturday with Treasure Stoke, Bonanza, Elma, Nova, Lynx and the Magic Carpet lifts operating from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Wolf Creek Ski School will be available for adults and children. Wolf Creek will offer the local appreciation rate of $54 for adults, $36 for seniors and $29 for children until further notice. The Wolf Creek Lodge will open with a full menu, as well as the Prospector Grill, the Continental Espresso Bar and Base Camp, Wolf Creek’s Picnic Building.
Purgatory Resort will open Wednesday. The Purgatory Village Express Lift will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The first 100 skiers and snowboarders in line for first chair will receive complimentary pancakes and sausage from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. Coors will also host an après-ski YETI cooler giveaway at the Bear Bar from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Discounted lift tickets are available when purchased online at least 48 hours in advance. Children 10 and under and seniors 80 and over ski free every day. Power Passes are available to purchase at a discounted rate through Dec. 13. All kids ages 10 and younger receive a free season pass.
