Wolfwood grateful for consideration

WolfWood Refuge would like to thank the drivers and administration of Red Willow and our neighbors, the Southern Ute tribe, for their kindness and consideration of our rescued animals and educational programs. When it was pointed out the engine braking and speed of the trucks on Herrera Hill were affecting the animals and our ability to have kids programs, they took action. The trucks slowed down and the drivers quit engine braking unless they absolutely have to. This response has allowed us to continue to give our rescued animals the best quality life possible, while keeping all visitors safe.

WolfWood has been in La Plata County for almost 25 years, and we are so pleased by the cooperation shown by Red Willow. It means we can continue to provide free children’s programs and save the lives of abused animals. We are grateful.
