Wolfwood Refuge, a state- and federally-licensed rescue facility for wolves and wolf-dog hybrids located west of Ignacio, will offer a free family event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Three Springs Plaza, U.S. Highway 160 near Mercy Regional Medical Center.
The event will feature wolves from the refuge and special guest Michael Wilson from the Rocky Mountain Wolf Project, who will discuss the behavior and ecology of wild gray wolves. Educational talks about wolves and animal rescue will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
