The Bayfield High School baseball team got back to its winning ways Friday, blowing by Monte Vista 13-1 to end a two-game skid and improve to 7-4 overall.

Eight Wolverines scored in the game, and more than half the team’s starters scored twice.

Austin Twedt hit a triple, scored twice and had three RBIs.

Isaac Ross went 2-3 with a double and two runs.

Noah Chamblee also hit a double, scored once and drove one run in.

Lance Mazur scored twice, stole two bases and drove in a run.

Nic Twedt had a base hit, stole a base and scored twice.

Devin Avery had one hit, two RBIs and one run.

Caden Wood scored once.

Andrew Monger helped the team with a sacrifice fly.

Jackson Queen had two base hits, scored twice and drove in a pair of runs.

Queen also threw a complete game to earn the win. Queen struck out 10 batters and didn’t give up a walk in five innings. He only gave up three hits and one earned run.
