BHS falls under .500 with a tournament loss to Piedra Vista
The Bayfield High School boys basketball team dropped to 1-2 at the Rumble in the Jungle tournament Saturday in Aztec, N.M., with a 61-47 loss to Piedra Vista.
Individual statistics weren’t immediately available.
The Wolverines trailed 35-23 at halftime, but they cut the deficit to just six at the start of the fourth quarter.
Piedra Vista (9-6) held on in the final quarter for the win.
BHS (3-4) dropped its second consecutive game in the tournament after losing 73-70 to Fruita Monument on Friday.
The Wolverines next will play at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Dolores.
