Single-vehicle accident occurred near intersection of U.S. Highway 491 and Colorado 184
An 83-year-old woman died in a single-vehicle rollover north of Cortez near the intersection of U.S. Highway 491 and Colorado Highway 184, said Colorado State Patrol Master Trooper Gary Cutler.
The woman died at the scene. The incident was reported at 1:52 p.m. and remained under investigation Thursday night, Cutler said.
No information on the make and model of the vehicle was immediately available, he said.
The Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office assisted with traffic control, said Sheriff Steve Nowlin, then turned the investigation over to the Colorado State Patrol.
Cutler said there was a resulting road closure.
