The League of Women Voters of La Plata County will sponsor a talk, titled “Putting a Price on Carbon Emissions,” from 7 to 8:45 p.m. Sept. 25 in Noble Hall, Room 130, at Fort Lewis College, 1000 Rim Drive.
Presentations will be given by Yoram Bauman, architect of the carbon tax ballot initiative that occurred last November in the state of Washington, and Patrick Cummins, an emissions-trading expert of the Fort Collins-based Center for a New Energy Economy.
Presentations will be followed by question and discussion with audience members.
