Womenade of La Plata County celebrated Women’s History Month with the March gathering at the Rochester Hotel. Six women in our community were awarded one-time grants to help with unexpected financial hardships. Women received grants for rent, tires, dental needs, utilities, car repairs and loan repayment.
We would like to thank our generous donors whose dedication to Womenade has given those in need a chance to move forward with their lives. Without such help, women often begin the downward spiral that is difficult to recover from.
We would also like to thank the Kirk Komick, Diane Wildfang and the staff of the Rochester Hotel for welcoming our organization. They provide us with the space to gather with friends and enjoy the evening
Finally, we thank the Women’s Resource Center for being our front line with the applications. Their support allows Womenade to be a vital resource in our community.
