The first Womenade fundraiser of 2020 was held at the Rochester Hotel where seven women in our community received one-time grants to help with rent, tires, dental bills and utilities. We thank the donors for their support in preventing the downward spiral that can happen with unexpected financial situations.
We also want to thank the Rochester Hotel for their continued support of the Womenade gatherings. Kirk Komick, Diane Wildfang and the staff of the Rochester always accommodate our group and provide us with the space to hold our events.
We also thank the staff at the Women’s Resource Center. The Women’s Resource Center helps with the Womenade application process. Without their assistance, the applicants for Womenade would not have access to their knowledge of additional programs in our community.
Womenade is a grassroots program that relies on donations six times a year in order to help women who are normally self-sufficient and are experiencing an unexpected financial difficulty. We invite you to the next Womenade fundraiser to be held at the Rochester Hotel from 5:30 to 7 p.m. March 23. Please come and join us where your donation makes an immediate difference in our community.
