The Women’s Resource Center was honored to have been chosen as the 2022 Columbine Classic Duet Golf beneficiary. This annual Ladies invitational golf tournament was held July 25 to July 27 at Dalton Ranch Golf Club and The Glacier Club.
The successful event would not have been possible without the endless efforts of the Columbine Classic committee members Meri McGraw, Barb Smith, Kimberly Moreland, Susan Voorhees, Donna Flynn and Lucia Thompson.
Not only does the committee volunteer 100% of their time to organize this fun, yet challenging golf tournament for 100 women, they work diligently for months gathering silent and live auction items with all proceeds benefiting the chosen nonprofit and The Nick Turner Scholarship Fund that supports the Women’s Varsity Golf Team at Fort Lewis College. The Women’s Resource Center was overwhelmed when accepting the generous donation of $47,500 from this year’s tournament!
We are sincerely grateful to the committee members, the women who participated in the tournament, Dalton Ranch Golf Club, Glacier Golf Club and all the people who volunteered and donated their time, effort and auction items to this event.
The money raised will support the services and programming the WRC has been providing for over 35 years and will help us continue our mission of advocating for the personal empowerment and economic self-sufficiency of women and girls in La Plata County.
