Express Employment Professionals, along with its franchise location in Durango, has donated $3,000 to the Women’s Resource Center of Durango, which advocates for the personal empowerment and economic self-sufficiency of women and families in La Plata County.
The donation is part of Brand It Blue Initiative through the company’s philanthropic committee, designed to give back to nonprofits nominated by franchisees among their more than 800 franchise locations.
Founded in 1987, the center now serves more than 1,700 women and their families each year, including women and families in crisis or transition. The center supports small business owners, provides tools and resources for girls necessary to make thoughtful decisions about their futures and provides a place for women of all ages to make connections and life-long friends.
The Express franchise in Durango began operation in 2014. It serves La Plata and Montezuma counties, along with San Juan County in New Mexico and the surrounding area with direct hire employees and temporary help in a variety of fields, including administrative, commercial, data processing, technical, sales, marketing and more.
