Work to begin on San Juan County, N.M.; delays expected

Road work to begin on County Road 6100.

Starting Wednesday, Road 6100 in San Juan County, New Mexico, will be limited to local traffic only while the road is milled and resurfaced. Motorists can expect traffic delays Wednesday and Thursday.

The road will remain in a grooved and rough condition for several weeks, with possible loose gravel. The next step will be crack-sealing and resurfacing of the blacktop, to be completed in June. Motorcycles are advised to use extreme caution until resurfacing is completed. Traffic control will be in place for the duration of construction.

This project is intended to resolve significant horizontal road cracking and heaving in the area.
