Workin’ on the railroad

Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad surfacing crew member Dan McCall walks behind a new Tamper being used Thursday to straighten and surface track on a turn just north of Durango. The new Tamper was put in to service Monday, marking the start of what will be a five-year process of surfacing the track between Durango and Silverton.
