World events are a sign of judgment

What in the world?

The whole world is blinded by deception. We are being deceived into following endless controversies and rabid debates. They consume the headlines, and seep into our daily conversations. You name it, we’ll debate it. They distract us from seeing the big picture.

When labor pains increase in frequency, you know birth is imminent. Business as usual comes to a halt. So it is with devastating natural disasters, senseless mass murders, threats of wars, endless regional wars in the Middle East, and so on.

These birth pangs or signs were predicted in the Bible and are being fulfilled at breakneck speed. Because God’s word has been banned from the public arena, we walk around in a self-inflicted fog, completely ignorant of his coming judgment. Alas, it is business as usual!

Warning: The day of the Lord will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. While people are saying “peace and security,” destruction will come suddenly, like birth pangs … and they will not escape (I Thessalonians 5:2).

For those who will heed the above warning, there is a way of escape that can bring personal peace:

Admit that you are a sinner in need of a savior. Ask God to forgive your sins against him. Believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and you will be saved (Romans 3, 10).

Do it today!
