Sherry Wilmoth indicated in her letter to the editor (Herald, Jan. 1) that she was not mad at losing the election, but rather she was angry with the people who voted for President-elect Donald Trump.
I must say that she is correct when she said the result is democracy and the American way. I followed the election closely and found that Hillary Clinton was, in fact, more disgusting than President-elect Donald Trump.
Wilmoth said Mr. Trump spewed racism, but I found him speaking truthfully about immigrants and unvetted people entering this country. Her candidate was more than willing to open the gates in order to expand the voting rolls of the Democrats, thereby putting our families at risk.
She said Mr. Trump advocated war crimes, but I say he will do what it takes to keep our families safe from those who would rather kill us than look at us.
Wilmoth indicated Mr. Trump discussed how a woman’s worth was dependent on how she looked, but it may surprise her that many of the top executives in the Trump organization are women.
As far as Mr. Trump’s marriages and adultery, I will refrain from judgment.
Wilmoth said we watched him lie, but I have been watching President Obama and Hillary Clinton lie for years now to promote their political agendas. Hillary Clinton lied about her private server and the mishandling of classified material, but Wilmoth would have her in charge of our national security.
As far as Mr. Trump cheating people out of money, I didn’t see any conclusive proof of that. I did see indications of Hillary Clinton selling her office for monetary gain.
You see Ms. Wilmoth, it’s not that Donald Trump was a perfect candidate, but that I and the other “deplorable” voters were just tired of being told that Washington knew best.
I would suggest that perhaps you and the liberals in this country should look in the mirror and ask yourselves why this happened instead of blaming those who disagree with you.
After all, it’s not the politics; it’s about the actions, right?
