Melissa Youssef has keen leadership skills and that all too rare ability to listen carefully and respond thoughtfully. She is dedicated to various community causes and has a long history of serving as a liaison between the causes she serves and the community as a whole. She is genuinely passionate about every project in which she is involved.
I am grateful that in addition to her service on behalf of education and outdoor recreation, Melissa has invested time and energy to promote the arts in our community.
She served on the Durango STEAM Park board of directors to help create a venue that showcases science, theatre, education, the arts and music. I am glad to see the city prioritizing arts and culture in our comprehensive plan this year, and I am confident that Melissa will facilitate efforts in this area as we move forward.
Melissa Youssef is invested in making Durango a stronger and more dynamic community. I reside outside the city limits of Durango, yet I encourage all registered city voters to vote for Melissa for city council for her diversified and dedicated approach to serving our community.
