Melissa Youssef has my highest recommendation for your vote for Durango City Council. Melissa writes a blog, “From Your Front Row Seat,” because she has been in the front row for years preparing herself with knowledge of city and La Plata County issues.
She served on the 9-R School Board and a number of nonprofit advisory boards and councils over the past decade. This demonstrates with actions, not just words, how much she cares about our community.
I know Youssef is a hard worker who dives in and gives 100 percent. She takes the responsibility of serving on council very seriously. Her broad background, expertise and experience as a business professional and community volunteer, coupled with her willingness to work hard, make her the ideal candidate for this position.
