Compliments to the La Plata County Search and Rescue team. A party of three hikers got lost hiking out of Overlook Point above Henderson Lake on Sunday night (July 8). We came across them before dark, but La Plata Search & Rescue was called by one of their party members left behind.
Long story short, the Search and Rescue team were 100-percent on it; their response and proactive approach was nothing short of spectacular. The hikers were driven down to the bottom in safe, but very cold and wet condition.
A really great effort by our wonderful Search and Rescue crews!
