Fort Lewis College’s volleyball team returned home after a long road trip and found a win Friday to end a six-match losing streak.
The Skyhawks (5-16, 4-9 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) took down New Mexico Highlands 3-0 with set wins of 25-21, 25-23 and 25-22 for the team’s second win this season inside Whalen Gymnasium.
Emily Dallenbach and Bailey Longacre each had 11 kills to lead FLC, and Maddie LeBlanc added 10 to go with two blocks and an ace.
Kendra Swackenberg had 34 assists, and Delaney Scanlan came up with 16 digs. Swackenberg had a double-double thanks to 12 digs, and Hannah Martinez also had 11 digs.
Laine Water led FLC defensively at the end with one solo block and four blocks assists.
FLC will welcome CSU-Pueblo at 5 p.m. Saturday.
