The possible fall schedule for 9-R students, two days a week in person with online learning the other three, does not seem in the best interests of students.
As a grandparent who has supervised my grandkids daily since the outbreak, I have not been impressed with the online component, so three days a week online seems inadequate. Most kids need as much daily structure and teacher contact as possible.
I’m not sure why a daily half-day schedule, with half of the students having a morning session and the other half an afternoon session, isn’t one of the proposals. I think five half-days a week would be a much more effective educational experience for our kids during this difficult time.
